They get sent (in mailbox) to your non-season progress as well as all seasonal characters getting turned into non-seasonal characters. You get a couple weeks after end of season to claim everything out of your mailbox. After that time they disappear.

Tip: To avoid hassling with my in-game mail, on the day the Season is going to end, I salvage everything I don’t want to keep. Then, I load up my Character’s Inventory with all they can carry. If I have to, I’ll create temporary “mules” and load them up as well. I leave NOTHING IN MY STASH. Then, when the Season ends I have no mail to claim.

From what I’ve heard your season 1 stash gets temporarily stored in a message that you can claim after the season is done, similar to how people claim their pre-order bonuses.
