The pc version saves when you quit your game the traditional way so I assume this version works the same way Also to the pc troll, you just earned yourself a reported post, most RPGs have a forced save option in addition to autosaves so his confusion is understandable

AFAIK it saves at “Checkpoints” and when you enter/leave town. As well as one final time when you “leave game” or “exit Diablo III” via the menu. Analog – Great video game music every week, Tuesday nights at 6:30pm CST!
