Perhaps try going through all the Vive & SteamVR processes. i.e. SteamVR Server, VivePort, or anything with Steam, Vive or HTC in its name. That normally helps when I have issues w/ SteamVR. Hey everyone, I found how to disable vr mode in Roblox. Basically you have to take “OpenVR” out of the Steam/steamapps/common folder while you want to use Roblox. When you want to use steam vr you just need to put the “OpenVR” folder back into steamapps common folder. Annoying process but oh well.
There is an option in-game. If you go into settings and turn VR mode on, leave the game, then rejoin, everything works perfectly fine. Although some “VR” games on Roblox still need work and do not function with vr that well, so it really depends on WHAT game you play, but I hope this helps too. 🙂
Roblox doesn’t show me the VR setting. Make sure you logged into the Oculus software and made sure that you connected your headset to the software. Also, make sure Unknown Sources is turned on. To do that, go to the Settings tab on the Oculus software, go to General, then make sure Unknown Sources is turned on.

I found how to stop it.. In the Windows Bar (bottom right of the computer) Click the VR icon, and go to developer settings, and click on Status Check – then Never. Then when you close it down, it should stay closed down.
