Most ps4 mics you just plug into the controller and go. It should be active already. Check your mute settings cause if you can hear people talk but can’t respond that’s usually the case. If that doesnt work then your mic might be defective.

PSA: There is direct and team text chat in GTA. Seems a lot of people think you either NEED a headset (which is in fact useful) or have to use the in game phone text to talk to people. Thankfully Rockstar remembered we have keyboards so you can use the usual suspects for talking either to your team or everyone.
