Open up your Minecraft launcher; If you’re specifically playing on an older version of Minecraft, such as a modded one via Forge, your game will not automatically update.

Open Minecraft Launcher on your device. Update the Minecraft launcher to the latest version if it has not been updated already. Head to the “Installations” tab.
