I’ve been wondering when GTA IV takes place, most sources say it takes place in Spring-Autumn 2008 but it was originally planned for it to be released in October of 2007. So unless any 2008 changes were implemented whilst the game was held back, the game would still theoretically take place in Autumn 2007 then ending around Spring 2008.
