Finding the entrance to Durance of Hate level 3 and Mephisto can seem like an annoying task. It’s one of the biggest maps in the game and can slow down your magic finding runs significantly.

In the upper left hand of the screenshot you’ll see Mephisto who is currently running into the stairs of the moat but unable to cross. He’ll be stuck in this location the entire fight and will occasionally fire off an attack or two; most of the time though he’ll keep trying to run over to you but fail because the moat is in the way.

Though, to be fair, to use your example: you’d be much more efficient to take those 1-1,1/2 hours and just run LK for that time.
